What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on July 31, 2021, prior to the hearing date.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,431.01, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and NSF cheque charges, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant shall also pay $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
